Voter Confirmation Ongoing Despite Pause in New Registrations

The Electoral Office has clarified that voter confirmation is still underway, despite last week’s announcement of a temporary pause in new voter registration. Officials say the pause affects only new registrations—that is, individuals seeking to be added to the Voters List for the first time. Meanwhile, voter confirmation for those already on the list continues uninterrupted and will remain open until October 15th, 2026. Confirmation centres are operating in every constituency to allow registered voters to verify or update their information. The centres are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Electoral Office is encouraging all voters listed in the May 2025 register to complete their confirmation ahead of the deadline.
