The Minister said government has acted decisively at Deux Branches, with the Prime Minister ordering an immediate pause in operations to allow for a full technical and environmental review. On the marina project, Minister Charles Pemberton said reports of sedimentation are being examined by relevant agencies, and mitigation measures will be enforced where necessary to safeguard marine ecosystems. She urged balanced and responsible public discussion, emphasizing that Dominica’s development strategy continues to align environmental protection with sustainable tourism growth for the benefit of all Dominicans.
