St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) has emerged as one of the Caribbean’s fastest-growing tourism destinations in 2025, recording a 17.3% increase in visitor arrivals in the first half of the year compared to 2024, according to the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO). This growth places SVG second only to Guyana (18.3%) in regional tourism expansion. SVG also led the region in growth from the U.S. market, with a remarkable 58.7% increase in American arrivals, the highest among all Caribbean destinations. Tourism officials attribute this success to targeted marketing, improved airlift connections, and an authentic, sustainable tourism model focused on culture, adventure, and local experiences. Tourism Minister Carlos James credited the achievement to the hard work of tourism teams and community partnerships, emphasizing the payoff of recent investments in infrastructure and airline partnerships. SVG’s rise signals a shift in the Caribbean tourism landscape, as smaller destinations like SVG and Guyana challenge traditional leaders such as Jamaica, The Bahamas, and the Dominican Republic by offering unique, experience-driven travel alternatives.
