The Rotary Club of Portsmouth has taken another big step toward its goal of creating safe play spaces for children across Dominica. This month, the Club officially opened two new playgrounds—one at Temple SDA Primary School on September 8, supported by Republic Bank through its Power to Make a Difference program, and another at Salybia Primary School on September 16, made possible with the support of President Sylvanie Burton and Rotary District 7030. The new facilities follow the first playground launched at Savanne Paille Primary in 2024, bringing the total to three. Planning is already underway for a fourth installation in the coming months. Service Projects Chair Lizra Fabien stressed the importance of play in child development.
