Paix Bouche Water Enhancement Project set to be commissioned this month

DOWASCO says residents of Paix Bouche can look forward to a major improvement in their water supply by the end of November. Speaking on the DOWASCO in 10 programme, company PRO Kimani St Jean announced that the Paix Bouche Water Enhancement Project, funded under the Basic Needs Trust Fund (BNTF 10), is nearing completion after some delays. The 2.1-million-dollar project involves upgrading the community’s water storage system from a 15,000-gallon tank to a 60,000-gallon tank, built at a higher elevation to improve water pressure and reliability. St Jean says once commissioned, residents will experience a drastic improvement in access to water, ending years of dependence on temporary arrangements caused by damage from past storms.
