The Kalinago Council has announced a major partnership with the Pawanka Fund, an Indigenous-led grant-making organization dedicated to empowering Indigenous peoples worldwide. Under the agreement, the Council has secured an initial grant of 30,000 US dollars to support projects aimed at revitalizing Kalinago traditional knowledge. Kalinago Chief Anette Sanford welcomed the partnership, describing it as a key step in strengthening ties with Indigenous communities globally.
