Government to Deliver Housing Titles to Residents of Petite Savanne and Bellevue Chopin

Housing titles are set to be handed over soon as part of Dominica’s modern resilient housing program. Housing Minister Melissa Poponne-Skerrit told residents of Eggleston that her ministry has been working to finalize legal ownership for government-built homes. She revealed that the first 26 titles will soon be delivered to residents of Petite Savanne and Bellevue Chopin, noting that securing a title transforms a home from just a dwelling into a lasting inheritance. Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit reinforced the point, assuring beneficiaries that titles will be placed in their names at the appointed time. He said ownership is meant to empower families, giving them the option to use their homes as collateral for business loans or other investments.
