Dominica’s Sisserou Girls Set to Face Jamaica in CONCACAF Qualifier

In sports, The Dominica Football Association is gearing up for a major moment in women’s sports, as the Senior Women’s National Team known as the Sisserou Girls prepares to take on Jamaica in a CONCACAF Women’s Qualifier. The match kicks off this Saturday, November 29th, at 3 p.m. at the Daren Sammy Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St. Lucia. Head Coach Ronnie Gustave says the team has been training hard and is ready for the challenge, describing the players’ discipline and determination as “a source of pride for Dominica.” The squad recently returned from the WIFA Tournament in St. Vincent, where the coaching team used the experience to fine-tune strategy and strengthen fundamentals. The Sisserou Girls have also welcomed several overseas-based players into camp as preparations ramp up. Dominica is competing in Group B alongside Jamaica, Guyana, Nicaragua, and Antigua and Barbuda. The DFA is calling on Dominicans everywhere to lend their support as the team carries the Nature Isle’s flag onto the regional stage.
