The President’s Charities Foundation has presented checks totaling $42,500 to 15 charitable organizations during a ceremony at the State House Conference Center. The donations followed a successful fundraising dinner held on October 11 at Jungle Bay Resort and Spa, which raised nearly $90,000, leaving a surplus after expenses. H.E President Sylvanie Burton said the initiative reflects the foundation’s commitment to supporting vulnerable groups, including the elderly, at-risk children, and persons with disabilities. Among the beneficiaries are the Dominica Association of Persons with Disabilities, House of Hope, Care for the Poor in Portsmouth, the Dominica Council on Aging, REACH and St. Vincent de Paul Society.
