Dominica National 4-H Awards Celebrate Youth Excellence

In a vibrant celebration of youth achievement, the Dominica National 4-H Awards Ceremony was held at the State House under the theme “Celebrating Excellence and Cultivating Potential.” Students from more than 50 primary and 13 secondary schools were recognized for their outstanding work in agriculture, arts, and community service. Youth Minister Oscar George congratulated the awardees, highlighting the government’s continued commitment to investing in the nation’s youth. Grand Bay Primary and Northeast Comprehensive Secondary also stood out for excellence in agriculture, while St. Mary’s Academy earned top honors in public speaking. Special awards went to Lillian Alexander Williams of Grand Bay Primary as Top Local Leader, and National 4-H Director Bert Paul, who was surprised with a regional recognition for his dedication to youth development.
