The Ministry of Agriculture is planning a regional depot in St. Martin to strengthen Dominica’s agricultural export market. Minister Roland Royer explained that the depot will allow fresh produce from local farmers to be sent directly to St. Martin, where it can be distributed or sold to local vendors. This move aims to recapture market share lost after Hurricane Maria and increase the island’s export footprint in the region. The initiative builds on recent successes, including the first post-Maria shipment of fresh produce to St. Martin, and reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to supporting farmers and expanding trade opportunities.
