Bahamas Environment and Natural Resources Minister Vaughn Peterson Miller Has Died

Bahamas Environment and Natural Resources Minister Vaughn Peterson Miller has died at the age of 64, the Office of the Prime Minister announced Sunday. Police said Miller was found unresponsive early Sunday morning and later died at the hospital despite CPR efforts. No cause of death has yet been given, but foul play is not suspected. Prime Minister Philip Davis described Miller as a man whose life was dedicated to serving others, noting his journey from broadcaster and pastor to parliamentarian and Cabinet minister. First elected to Parliament in 2017 with the Free National Movement, Miller later joined the Progressive Liberal Party, was reelected in 2021, and appointed to the Cabinet.
