Health Minister Cassani Laville has urged citizens to see patient safety not just as a policy, but as a personal responsibility. This as Dominica joined the global community on Wednesday in marking World Patient Safety Day 2025 under the theme “Safe care for every newborn and every child.” Speaking at a ceremony to mark the occasion, He stressed that every child deserves a safe beginning, every family deserves confidence in the care they receive, and every healthcare worker must be equipped with the tools to deliver quality outcomes. The Minister called for collective action across all levels—healthcare workers, policymakers, community leaders, and families—to strengthen safeguards in maternal and child health services.
