The Dominica Labour Party’ has reaffirmed its commitment to serving the people of Dominica during the party’s 70th anniversary celebrations. Sunday’s event underscored the party’s achievements, including the construction of homes for Dominicans in need and the ongoing efforts to protect the environment and combat climate change.
Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Melissa Poponne-Skerrit highlighted her ministry’s progress including the construction of climate-resilient homes across the island, with major developments in Grand Bay and Dubique.
The Minister added, the Future Housing Program has also been launched, with strategic partnerships to subsidize land sales targeted at young professionals.
