The Ministry of Tourism and the Discover Dominica Authority will officially launch Mas Domnik 2026 this evening. The event, open to the public, marks the start of one of the Caribbean’s most culturally rich Carnival seasons. Known as “The Real Mas,” Mas Domnik is one of the region’s oldest Carnival traditions, blending African, European, French, and Kalinago influences. Highlights of the launch include the presentation of Miss Dominica 2026 contestants and performances by traditional mas groups such as Sennsé, Mahaut Lapo Kabwit, and the Kalinago Tete Mass, showcasing Dominica’s vibrant cultural heritage.
