The Government of Dominica is urging landlords and tenants across the country to take part in a new Rental Housing Survey launched November 24th. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development says the survey will collect important information to guide the establishment of the upcoming Tenancy and Rent Commission an initiative promised in the 2024–2025 National Budget. The Commission is expected to strengthen protections for both landlords and tenants, prevent unfair practices, and help ensure safe and affordable housing nationwide. Officials say the data gathered will support efforts to improve housing standards and create a fairer, more transparent rental market. Survey forms for both tenants and landlords are available on the Government of Dominica’s website. The Ministry is encouraging everyone involved in the rental sector to participate, noting that public input is crucial to shaping a modern and balanced housing system.
