Police Week 2025 officially opened today in Dominica under the theme “Serving with Pride, Protecting with Purpose.” The week-long celebration highlights the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force’s commitment to community safety and law enforcement. At the opening ceremony, Chief of Police Lincoln Corbett outlined efforts to combat gun violence, including community policing, neighborhood watch programs, and the Firearms Task Force, which recently seized a record 1,700 kilograms of cocaine. The week features a full schedule of events, including a gospel concert on November 18, a mental health talk on November 19, and a Fitness and Talent Night on November 22. Other activities include school visits, panel discussions, a Health and Fitness Festival, and the week’s highlight—an awards night and dinner on November 23.
