Dominica Claims U23 Volleyball Title as Sherron Vidal Named MVP

In sports, Dominica is celebrating a major regional sports victory, as national player Sherron Vidal has been named Most Valuable Player of the 2025 Under-23 Men’s Volleyball Championship in Antigua. Vidal led Dominica to an undefeated run and a gold-medal victory over the host team, securing the title in four sets. Several Dominican players also stood out, earning top individual awards, including Tahj Jno Jules as First Best Outside Hitter, Jimmal Peltier as Second Best Middle Blocker, and Miguel Fontaine, who captured both Best Libero and Best Digger. Sports Minister Oscar George hailed the achievement as a significant moment for Dominican sports, commending the athletes, coaches, and the Volleyball Association for their hard work.
