China and Dominica to Deepen Cooperation Following High-Level Talks

China and Dominica have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and advancing shared development goals following recent high-level engagements between the two nations. During the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women held on October 13 in China, President Sylvanie Burton joined global counterparts to discuss advancing women’s empowerment. President of China Xi Jinping delivered the keynote address, outlining four initiatives and five measures to promote women’s development worldwide. China also announced new funding, training, and project opportunities in support of global gender equality. President Burton, whose remarks received warm applause, highlighted Dominica’s achievements in advancing women’s roles in national development. President Burton later met with His Excellency President Xi for bilateral discussions, during which both leaders pledged to deepen cooperation in areas including climate action, clean energy, agriculture, healthcare, and women’s empowerment.
