Dominica’s 25th edition of the World Creole Music Festival has been hailed as the biggest in the event’s history. Tourism Minister Denise Charles Pemberton says, the 2025 festival saw a 48 percent increase in visitor arrivals compared to last year, welcoming over 10,700 visitors to the island. She noted that the festival generated a strong economic boost across multiple sectors, with taxi operators, vendors, hairdressers, and accommodation providers all benefiting from the surge in activity. Hotel occupancy rates reached their highest levels ever recorded during the festival period. Minister Charles Pemberton added that this year’s festival also provided a significant platform for local artists and bands, who delivered outstanding performances.
